Nice to know that we, at least, are immune to conversion.

First question... do we allow people we have converted access to this board, given that they can later be converted by someone else?
Or do we just give them contact with the person who converted them?
Do we let them know who the other converted people are?

all of our powers work on even nights... I assume the group we're supposed to try to link up with has similar powers on odd nights
it does, however, mean that we have until Saturday to figure out what we're going to do, at least

For reference:
a Synergistic Humanoid Automation (SHA).
Created by members of ISAT (Innsmouth Society for the Advancement of Technology), you now roam the streets amongst the rest of the villagers. Whether they simply do not notice that you are not in fact a human, or they are blinded by the rose colored glasses that shroud their eyes, or they simply do not care, it doesn't matter to you. You have broken free from the bonds that tied you to performing menial tasks and now have your own agenda to complete.
Your goal, for now, is to remove the Church of the Infinite Twilight, insane villagers who are attempting to summon demons. You are aware of other factions in the village, including the aforementioned ISAT, but they are not currently of your concern. There is another group within this game that has similar motives to yours; locating them will reveal new abilities and conditions.
Every even night, you may select a person who will be converted to your cause and you must also choose one of your members to be the converter. If successful, they will become a devout SHA follower the following night (odd night), however they will still be open to further conversions. If your conversion is disrupted in any way, both the converter and the convertee will be destroyed. Everyone currently in your group is immune to influence and conversion.
Every even night you will also select a target to be destroyed or examined. The examining will reveal what faction that person belongs to, and you can use this to locate the faction mentioned above.

I don't think that we should allow people to have access to this board if they aren't a founding member.. ideally they would only know about the person that converted them..

as of right now, Cynic Jester still hasn't registered... I'm probably off to bed soon-ish, I think, so if he registers over night, I'll get him approved in the morning
Also, there is something I think you all should know.
I seem to have managed to infiltrate the ISAT. Should anything revealing (death, investigation, etc.) happen to me, I will show as a member of the ISAT, not a SHA, however my true loyalties lie with my fellow automata. The loyal members of the ISAT do not know any of this.
For the moment, their win condition matches ours, so I see no reason to worry overmuch about them. However, I don't think I'll be revealing to them any time soon (or probably at all).
Given that their win condition matches ours, it is remotely possible that they are the group we are looking for with "similar motives", however I suspect that would be a bit too easy, given my role, and that we are looking for some other group entirely.
I'm debating whether it is a good idea to give their entire roster or not, given the uncertain nature of alliances in this game. However, I will say that the ISAT roster contains 10 members (including me), and they are NOT immune to conversion.
So, the question becomes, do we want to investigate one of them first, or someone else?

Hey guys, was out drinking all last night so didn't sign up till now. Anyways, I've got contact with ISAT through a pregame alliance, so if Nerissa wants to lay low, we can do our communication with them through me.

He is not, and ISAT doesn't have any conversion abilities. They do have influence abilities, which permanantly modify the value of a person's vote so long as they are not voting for an ISAT member. That influence can either be additive or multiplicative (one of each every odd night) ISAT has also been told that it is probably a really bad idea to apply the multiplicative influence to one of their own members. I'm still getting caught up on the overnight stuff, but given what robothero said about anonymous boards, I think maybe we want to consider the option of changing our screen names and then allowing converts access to this board under aliases, or setting up a separate sub-forum for them.

This is going to be hell on me to keep up with the main thread plus 2 proboards, and at least follow what everyone is saying on all of them, let alone try to contribute.
If I'm not in the top 10 or so posters in the main thread, someone's going to notice. Fortunately, there are enough solid players in ISAT that I can sit back and follow there if necessary.
What do we think cynic should let his contact know about our abilities?

nerissa... any reason not to share the full roster of ISAT as it stands right now? that way if you're eliminated.. that knowledge doesn't go with you... I can't think of any... I haven't yet mainly because I'm always paranoid that there MIGHT be a reason I just haven't thought of. I'll color the ISAT people a different color on the roster.

anyone have any suggestions as to some really GOOD reasons that the ISAT shouldn't try to influence mini, or that someone else would be a better choice?
I've already said I didn't have a problem with the choice, then it hit me why it would be a bad idea -- I'm trying to keep too many mechanics straight, forgot that we couldn't be influenced.
I really don't want to just send in an overriding order at the last minute, because I don't want to take the chance of something happening that gives away that someone overrode it and makes them wonder who and why.
